Welcome to Dani Marie.
Founded by sisters Sylvie and Danielle, we're on a mission to create timeless, slow fashion, feminine pieces for plus size women.
We hope you love your Dani Marie pieces as much as us! Here's a little more about us and our brand's mission.
The Dani Marie Brand
Named after my lovely sister, Danielle Marie Hall - the Dani Marie brand is a celebration of femininity and fuller figures. Through our plus size social app, Insyze, we heard you loud and clear that there aren't enough beautifully designed pieces for plus size women.
Many plus size brands are also fast-fashion, made with synthetic fabric and produced on mass by workers who are often under paid.
This is not what we wanted for the Dani Marie brand and so we set out to create a brand that aligned with our values on ethical production and sustainability, but is still affordable. It was also really important to us that each piece makes you feel confident and gorgeous.
We are on a mission to create plus size clothing that is good for the environment.
We use fabric that is made from natural fibres, using organic and recycled materials wherever possible.
We’re constantly researching and trialling the best in sustainable materials so that we can ensure our clothing is as sustainable as possible.
Our timeless, feminine modern classics are made to be worn again and again. We believe in slow fashion.
Although our fabrics are made from natural fibres, our sourcing and buyer power as a start-up brand hindered by the pandemic, means that some of our fabrics aren’t as environmentally friendly as we would like them to be. We are continuously improving our design and sourcing so that we can work towards being a 100% sustainable clothing line.
We pledge to plant a tree via One Tree Planted for every item that is sold.
Our packaging is recycled and recyclable and the tags are made from 100% recycled paper.
Our clothing is manufactured at a family run factory in Bali. We ensure that all our garment makers are paid a fair and generous wage with good working conditions.
We will never use child labour.
Here are the dresses in production! As you can see it's a small operation, which means they will only produce our dresses in small quantities.
As we grow, we will help them to expand their operations too. We care deeply for the welfare of every person that helps to bring Dani Marie to life.
We want beautiful, environmentally friendly and ethical plus size clothing to be available for everyone.
So if that means we make less of a profit on each item to ensure the dresses can remain affordable, then so be it.
As our dresses are made with natural fibres and produced ethically as well as in small quantities, they will naturally be priced at a more mid-range level. These aren't 'cheap and affordable' dresses, they are quality, sustainable and affordable.
We promise to be transparent about every aspect of our supply chain and the sustainability of our products.
We also love to share our journey with you and involve you in the design process.
If you have any questions or feedback, we would love to hear from you.
